STAUNTON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PUBLIC FORUM

An Economic Development Public Forum was held on March 30, 2023 at 5:30 pm at the Great Hall at the Blackburn Inn and Conference Center, located at 106 Village Drive (off of Richmond Rd.)  in Staunton. 

The focus of the forum was to share information on Staunton Crossing related to property acquisition, efforts and accomplishments, and future plans for development. 

This year’s forum included regional and state economic development perspectives.  Dr. Jay Langston, Executive Director, Shenandoah Valley Partnership (SVP) provided a high-level overview of the SVP’s marketing efforts, and the importance of Staunton Crossing in the City’s economic development efforts.  In addition, Jason El Koubi, President & CEO, Virginia Economic Development Partnership provided an overview of their purpose and relationship with the City, and the State’s commitment to assisting Staunton in the development of Staunton Crossing.
