The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality has issued a drought warning advisory the City of Staunton and the surrounding Shenandoah Drought Evaluation Region.
As a follow-up to the Dec. 19 press release, the City of Staunton has been notified by Flock Safety that the contract was officially terminated as of Jan. 8, 2026.
City of Staunton offices and facilities will operate on modified schedules in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 19.
The City of Staunton has hired Anna Leavitt as the new Economic Mobility and Opportunity Special Assistant to tackle local housing and workforce challenges. This position is funded by a competitive private grant.
