Kids Matter Day is a free family event designed to inform parents and guardians of ways to keep kids safe while showcasing various community resources. After attending the designated number of stations in the gym and parking lot area, your child can participate in the Kids Matter Day attractions area as a reward.
The Kids Matter Day committee is comprised of multiple community organizations, including Valley Community Services Board, Central Shenandoah Valley Office on Youth, Staunton Parks and Recreation, Staunton Police Department,The News Leader, Staunton-Augusta Family YMCA, Staunton City Schools, Staunton Fire and Rescue, Department of Social Services, Charlie Obaugh Chevrolet Buick GMC, Girl Scouts and New Directions Center, Inc.
