The City of Staunton’s Planning Division is holding a public forum on bicycle infrastructure planned along Churchville Avenue.
The event is being held on Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 6 p.m. at the Gypsy Hill Park gymnasium, 116th Regimental Rd, Staunton.
The City has contracted with the Timmons Group to design bicycle infrastructure along Churchville Avenue in accordance with the Staunton Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan. The project will include repurposing vehicular travel/turn lanes where possible on Churchville Avenue to allow for the implementation of bicycle facilities within the existing pavement section (i.e. “road diet”). Representatives of the Timmons Group will present information on the proposed bicycle infrastructure improvements and receive public comments on the changes to Churchville Avenue.
