Staunton Parks & Recreation is bringing back the Gypsy Hill Cardboard Boat Regatta! Witness this one-of-a-kind spectacle of epic cardboard creations and cheer on courageous crews racing for glory through the waters of Gypsy Hill Pool. Participants build a water worthy life-size cardboard boat using limited materialscardboard, fasteners, duct tape and their imagination. The day of the event, they’ll brave the fierce waters of the Gypsy Hill Park Pool and race their boats against one another hoping they aren’t the first to sink! It’s ok if they do though, we have a prize for the fastest sinker- Davy Jones Locker. Folks can pick up a registration form at the rec office in Montgomery Hall Park.
