Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned player, put your strategy skills to the test at the First Annual Staunton Parks & Rec Youth Chess Tournament! Each player will participate in multiple rounds based on the previous rounds results. Tournament rounds are played G/30, meaning each player has 30 minutes to complete their moves.
Prizes will be awarded based on number of games won and will vary depending on total number of tournament participants. Check-in begins at 8am – Awards Ceremony starts at 3:45pm. Registration Fee: $15. Pre-register by May 4th and receive a FREE commemorative medal honoring the very first tournament and Staunton Parks and Recreations 50th Anniversary! On-site registration will be available from 8am to 8:45am the day of the tournament.
