The Friends of the Staunton Library will host the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for their long-awaited Terrace renovation project. The celebration will be held Saturday, Aug. 15 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Staunton Public Library’s backyard at 1 Churchville Avenue. The public is invited to attend to enjoy the newly improved space and hear some brief remarks from Friends of the Staunton Library board members and Mayor Michele Edwards.
A ribbon cutting and a picnic reception will follow the remarks. Light refreshments and music will be provided, and attendees will be able to learn more about the Friends of the Staunton Library along with public library services. This ceremony is open to visitors of all ages, but the Friends kindly ask that attendees leave their pets at home for the event.
