Mayor Edwards hereby calls a special meeting of Staunton City Council. The meeting will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., local time, at the R. R. Smith Center, 2nd Floor Lecture Hall, located at 20 South New Street, Staunton, for the purpose of conducting a City Council retreat. 

She requests that the Clerk of Council disseminate, post, and provide notice of this memorandum in accordance with Chapter II, Section 7, of the Staunton City Charter, Virginia Code Section 15.2-1418, and the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and otherwise widely publicize notice of this memorandum. She also requested that the Clerk of Council email a copy of this memorandum to all members of City Council.

This meeting is open to the public. There will be no opportunity for public comment.
