NOTICE

A special meeting of Staunton City Council will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at 4:15 p.m. local time, in the Rita S. Wilson Council Chambers located on the 1^st floor of City Hall, 116 West Beverley Street. The purpose of the meeting is the following: 

1. To interview candidates to fill the vacancy on City Council and receive input from the public.
2. To discuss the appointment of a City Council member in a closed session.
3. The possible appointment of new City Council member.

The interviews will occur in an open meeting.   

Arrangements for public access to the meeting will be by streamed live broadcast on the City’s webpage at www.staunton.va.us/council and by television broadcast on Comcast Channel 7.

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

There will be opportunity for a two-minute public comment once the interviews have concluded, both in-person and via the Zoom platform. The questions provided to the candidates are available online and in print for those who attend the meeting.
