NOTICE
Mayor Oakes calls a special meeting of Staunton City Council. The meeting will be held on Monday, January 25, 2021, at 5:30 p.m., local time on the Zoom platform. The purpose of the meeting is to conduct a closed meeting for the purpose of discussing and interviewing candidates for the position of Interim City Attorney.
She requests that the Clerk of Council provide notice of this memorandum in accordance with Chapter II, Section 7, of the Staunton City Charter, post and otherwise widely publicize notice of this memorandum. She also requests that the Clerk of Council email a copy of this memorandum to all members of City Council.
ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS MEETING
This meeting will be conducted on the Zoom platform, with virtual participation by all members of City Council and all other participants, without a quorum of Council being physically assembled at City Hall, given the catastrophic nature of the declared emergency and disaster related to the COVID-19 outbreak, which as part of the total circumstances makes it impracticable or unsafe to assemble in a single location. The meeting will be held consistent with City Council Ordinances 2020-04, 2020-24, and 2021-04, which can be accessed online at https://www.ci.staunton.va.us/departments/city-attorney.
Arrangements for public access to the open portions of the meeting will be by streamed live broadcast on the City’s webpage at https://www.ci.staunton.va.us/government/city-council and by television broadcast on Comcast Channel 7.

Since the meeting includes a closed meeting, there will be no opportunity for public comment.
